The Farmowners Policy Program is designed for insuring Property and Liability Insurance for:
- The owner-occupant of the farm;
- The owner or a co-owner of the farm in a private or incorporated farming venture. The Named Insured must have an equal or controlling financial interest in the venture, occupy the residence insured under the policy and have primary responsibility for supervision of the farm operation. (The partnership or corporation cannot be shown as the Named Insured on the Declarations.)
A policy may only be issued where the main residence insured:
- Is used exclusively for residential purposes (except for certain incidental occupancies permitted by the company);
- Is occupied by the Named Insured and the mailing address is the same as the subject insured premises; and
The residence contains no more than two families with no more than two roomers or boarders per family.
